A 12km Inflatable Obstacle Course Run is Coming to Jozi!

Love trail running ad adventure runs? The great news is, Joburg’s coolest adventure run, the Hollard JURA, is back and this year there’s so much more to dig about this fun-packed obstacle-fueled race – including incredible new features and designs on the custom-built obstacle course. Here’s the low-down on this unique adventure race taking place in June 2018.

The JURA’s stunning routes take runners through some of Joburg’s most-loved parks and past incredible urban landmarks offering an incredible Urban-meets-trail running experience. This year’s race promises to be bigger and better than ever before with the addition of 7 brand new inflatable gladiator-style obstacles for runners to overcome on the 6km and 12km routes.

Runners will begin the race with a classic hacky sack race before scaling a massive inflatable ramp where they’ll bounce their way down to the other side. Some obstacles runners can anticipate are a maze of bouncy barricades; “The Forest”, which is made of a tunnel of crisscrossing inflatable beams; and a giant bowl of jelly that you have to cross.

If you’re not running, fear not. The JURA offers something for everyone, spectators included. There will be loads of food and drink options available on the day and spectators can tuck into some delicious grub from a range of craft food stalls, while a dedicated kids area will help to keep the little ones entertained!
