5 Events You Need To Check Out This Week! [22 April – 29 April]

1. Beauty of B event at The Spa at Twelve Apostles Hotel – Cape Town
Join The Spa at the five-star Twelve Apostles Hotel in Camps Bay on Wednesday 29 April for an introduction to the exclusive B| Africa brand. Guests will be welcomed with light snacks and sparkling wine on arrival, before learning more about B| Africa and its new range of pampering Rasul products, including a hair and face mask and body mud. Each guest will also receive a soothing hand treatment during the workshop, and will leave with a 50ml B| Africa Body Scrub as a gift. The event starts at 17:30 and costs R180 per person.

2. Freedom Day Concert at Nirox Sculpture Park – Johannesburg
Head through to Nirox Sculpture Park on Monday 27 April for a day of food, nature, music and art. Park off in front of the amphitheatre on their lush lawns and listen to the sweet sounds of The Soil, Bongeziwe Mabandla, The Muffinz, Zenzi Makeba Lee, Tidal Waves, Jika Nelanga and Qadasi & Maqhinga. A variety of high-end food stalls will also be selling their wares on the day. Gates open at 10:00 and tickets are R300 and availble online from Acoustics Now.

3. Catch a Screening of Bugsy Malone at the City Bowl Drive-In – Cape Town
Short & Sweet Cape Town invites you to pull in and park off at the City Bowl Drive-In for a screening of Bugsy Malone on Thursday 23 April. There’s still time to book your tickets for this event tomorrow but the screenings take place every Thursday night in a secluded urban field, nestled in the heart of the city bowl. Popcorn and freshly prepared specialty dishes by ‘Dinner is Done’ will be on sale on the night and the event is limited to 150 vehicles. 4. Meet the Brewers at Beerhouse – Cape Town
Book your tickets to meet brewers, Morne and Pierre-Charl of Lakeside Beerworks on Monday 27 April. Beerhouse invites you to join the master brewers to hear their story, sample their beers and relish the mouth-watering gourmet food pairing prepared by Beerhouse Head Chef, Roy MacAskill. 5. Grand White Dinner – Durban
The incredible Grand White event is making its way to Durban this month. Book your tickets for 25 April and take part in this unique event held at a secret location in Durban. Spend an extraordinary afternoon and evening together with friends and family whilst dressed all in white with a touch of green! Guests will enjoy each other’s company, delicious food, live music, speeches, entertainment and much more. Guests are welcome to either bring their own picnic baskets or purchase baskets online.
